We are thrilled to have seasonal jobs available for university students from all over the globe through the BridgeUSA Summer Work and Travel Program. Working with Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari will provide international students the opportunity to participate in this dynamic cultural exchange through living and working alongside students from the US and all over the world.

Program Details

Team Members are paid every two weeks. The starting pay for BridgeUSA Students is $13/hour.

All hired BridgeUSA students have access to Compass Commons, Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari’s Team Member housing, which is located within walking distance to the parks. Weekly rates are $105 and are payroll deducted. All housing units are multiple occupancy with communal restroom and shower facilities.

We recommend flying into Louisville (Kentucky) Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF). Transportation is available on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday with pick-up at 2:00 p.m. beginning May 2nd through end of June.
If you happen to arrive on a different day or later than 2:00 p.m., hotel accommodations are available nearby. Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari is unable to provide transportation outside of the scheduled days, so students should bring sufficient funds to cover meals and unforeseen travel expenses.

Students are expected to work the dates listed on your employment agreement. If you need to request a change, please contact your sponsor to adjust your DS 2019 prior to your arrival at Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari.

Compass Commons is open for arrivals May 1st – October 1st. Students may arrive up to 48 hours prior to the start date on their DS2019, 7 days a week. Preferred hours of arrival are 9 am- 9 pm Central Daylight Time.

A valid Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari I.D. opens the door to fun-filled events for all! Team Members can enjoy free access to the 50+ rides in the park and entertainment, or travel to one of our reciprocal parks for free admission!
Holiday World Human Resources hosts numerous events on the property including exclusive Team Member ride nights, picnics, movies, competitions, and more!

Santa Claus is a smaller town, but there’s still a lot to do nearby! Enjoy local restaurants & stores, Lincoln State Park, a drive-in movie theater, kayaking, Patoka Lake, Marengo Cave, and more! In addition to all of the fun in the area, Santa Claus is within driving distance for the perfect day trip to major cities including Louisville, Indianapolis, Evansville, Nashville, and more!

The climate of Santa Claus ranges from warm in May (12°C–25°C) to hot and humid from June-September (17°C–31°C). Throughout September, the temperature will become gradually cooler.
