 Join our Team!  We’ve started our search for candidates who want to experience an adventure of a lifetime as a Seasonal Team Member at Holiday World & Splashin' Safari.  The discoveries you make on our award-winning team as you journey through FUN is what leads our Guests to embark on their own adventure full of memories, season after season.  


Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) respond to medical emergencies and deliver emergency patient care, support, and evaluation to Guests and employees while determining the need for further medical treatment. EMTs are the front-line team members that interact with both Guests and employees in often less than ideal situations. EMT’s are expected to respond competently, and proactively to calls. EMT’s will work closely with first responders and ambulance services to prepare them for receipt of any person needing emergency transport to a medical facility. EMT’s may also be asked to work with seasonal and full-time staff to respond to Guest concerns and effectively train our team regarding safety here at Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari.  

  • Lead the safety effort by personal example.
  • Adhere to SOPs, protocols, and other work procedures as required to assist employees and assure Guest safety
  • “Safety First” is not just a slogan – it must be our #1 priority!
  • Proactively respond, examine, and evaluate patients to determine necessary care
  • Provide patients with emergency care by utilizing appropriate techniques and equipment
  • Document patient information, condition, and treatment
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and perform all care with respect for patient rights and HIPAA
  • Transport patients in accordance with outlined policies and procedures
  • Maintain safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients
  • Provide basic first aid and gather patient data
Requirements
  • Current, active State of Indiana EMT Certification or NREMT Certification
  • Frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending twisting, pulling, and stooping
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to work in sunny, hot, cold, windy, rainy, noisy environments
